Kansas City Metro Mission Facilitation

Lutheran Urban Mission Agency, aka the Lutheran Mission of the Good Shepherd, is the cross-cultural urban ministry of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) in greater Kansas City. LUMA's mission is to bring Christ to the city - especially to those cultures that are currently not being reached by traditional churches. They work closely with existing congregations, helping them to become cross-cultural; establish new ministries where needed; provide aid and assistance to the needy; and offer special programs designed to reach the un-churched in the urban core.
